What Is the New Fight?

There is only one thing that separates our communities: GEOGRAPHY.

I’m running for New York State Assembly to unite the ALL communities in the 31st Assembly District. The fight against environmental racism, safe housing, more frequent and faster public transportation, better schools, proper healthcare, safe streets and healthy parks . Nearly two thirds, 65%, of Southeast Queens residents are Black and Hispanic, another 10% of the residents  are Asian. With its high concentration of Black and Brown bodies, the needs of District 31 are often overlooked. Our community needs substantial change that we can win—if we unite. There is strength in numbers.

How the New Fight Is Fought

Our new fight brings our communities together on trips to Albany and City Hall. It takes the fight directly to the powers that be. Our new fight together empowers every voter and resident. Our new fight together has a central message: one community, one fight.

Who is Involved in the New Fight?

Young and old. Homeowners and renters. Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and whites. Immigrants from around the world, and people whose families have lived here in the U.S. for generations. Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and Jews. Everyone and anyone who wants to build a caring and just community.
